Summer 2019. 7th Batch
Professional Masters in International Relations (PMIR)
This eighteen-month accelerated professional degree programme features:
(a) three-semester format, duration of each semester being six months;
(b) 12 course units consisting of 48 credit hours;
(c) research module on International Relations; and
(d) classes from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on weekdays (Sunday through Thursday).
Application Requirements
* Applications are invited from candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised university with at least 2nd class or a CGPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)/ 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) in their academic careers.
* Applicants with a CGPA of at least 3.0 in the Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations (PGDIR) programme offered by the Department are eligible for direct admission.
Admission Procedure
▪ Application forms to be collected from and submitted to the Office of the Department on working days (10:OOam-5:OOpm) at a cost of Tk. 1,000/- until 12 May 2019.
▪ Attested copies of all certificates & transcripts along with 2 passport size photos should be submitted with the application form.
▪ Written test for admission will be held on 24 May 2019 (Friday) at 10:00 am.
▪ The merit list of candidates for admission into the PM! R programme will be prepared based on a score earned out of 105 marks, split into 100 marks for written test, and 5 marks for professional experience of at least two years in a recognised organisation/institution.
▪ The admission test is designed to evaluate qualitative aptitude, English language proficiency and analytical skills of the candidates.
▪ Admission test results will be announced tentatively by the first week of June 2019.
▪ Successful candidates must enroll between 10 June and 04 July 2019.
▪ Classes of the 1st semester will commence tentatively from 07 July 2019.
