Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Sonali Intellect

Sonali Intellect Ltd., is a Joint Venture between Sonali Bank Ltd., the largest state owned Commercial Bank in Bangladesh and Intellect Design Arena Ltd., a Fintech company with its Global Headquarters in Chennai, India. Intellect Design Arena Ltd., is the majority stake holder of Sonali Intellect with 51% equity. Sonali Intellect has established its Corporate Office & Development Centre in Dhaka and is operational since 2012. This entity has rolled out Core Banking Solution (CBS) in Sonali Bank and Rupali Bank in Bangladesh. It is a full-fledged Software Company with Product Development, Product Engineering and Support Services.
Currently the Company is looking for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who shail be responsible to maximize the growth potential of Sonali Intellect in local market. This position will be based in Dhaka with reasonable amount of travel outside Bangladesh. Apart from the growth agenda, the CEO is also expected to lead Complexity Reduction in Banks and Financial Institutions via technology, delivery excellence and process innovations.
The CEO should have a fair understanding of the Core Banking Technology and is required to motivate the JV in Bangladesh towards Financial Technology Leadership and must demonstrate an intimate understanding of Business & Industry practices and Business acumen. Should have the ability to build and nurture relationship at CXO level of different Banks and Financial Institutions of Bangladesh.
An Engineer/ M.Sc./ MBA/ Chartered Accountant with excellent English communication skills and overall experience of 20 years or more in an enterprise with at least 3 to 4 years of experience as a CEO/ MD or senior leadership position in Banks or Information Technology enterprises involving the P&L responsibility will be just right for the role.The deserving candidate should have proven Business Development experience and the ability to grow business. Ideal candidate should not be more than 57 years of age. Good understanding of Legal and Finance functions coupled with the experience of rolling out large mission critical solutions would be an added advantage. The CEO position reports to the Board of Directors of Sonali Intellect Limited.
The compensation package would be at par with best in the industry and would comprise of Base Compensation, Variable Pay linked to Performance and Company Car.
