Cochlear Implant Device
Subject: Application for obtaining a Cochlear Implant Device for the Completely Deaf.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University has launched 'Cochlear Implant Program' for the welfare of the hearing impaired at the initiative of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Through this program, completely deaf children/ person who cannot hear even using hearing aids are provided Cochlear Implant Device (Instrument) at the Government cost during surgery.
Cochlear Implant Device (Instrument):
* Selected candidates have to pay partial price of the device.
* A number of devices will be provided at this stage of the program. Applications are invited from hearing impaired patients/ parents/ candidates, interested in getting cochlear implant device allocated.
* Priority will be given to children below 05 (five) years of age in case of allotment.
* The application form can be downloaded from the website or collected from Room No. 210 (Nose, Ear and Throat Department) of BSMMU External Department-2
* Scanned copy of Completed Application Form and Required Documents should be sent by e-mail or completed application form and required documents should be submitted directly in the prescribed box kept in room 210 of BSMMU External Division-2.
