 1st year admission notice for MBBS course

1. Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), a government medical education institution run by the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
 * AFMC's AMC Cadets category (who will compulsorily join Bangladesh Army) ** AFMC Cadet category and
2. *** Private 05 (five) Army Medical Colleges run by Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust.
Students will be admitted in 1st year MBBS course in 2021-2022 academic year in the same process in these institutions.
Applications are invited from students seeking admission in MBBS course in the 2021-2022 academic year in accordance with the admission policy formulated by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council in the prescribed schedule and under the following conditions:
i. AFMC's AMC Cadet Category:
Students who have passed SSC/ equivalent examination in 2018/2019 and HSC/ equivalent examination in 2020/2021 will have to get a total GPA of 10.00
ii. AFMC's AFMC Cadet and Cadet Category of five Army Medical Colleges: Students who have passed SSC/ Equivalent Examination in 2018/2019 and HSC/ Equivalent Examination in 2020/2021 must have a minimum GPA of 9.00. * The sum of GPA obtained in case of Tribal only candidate will be a minimum of 8.00 will be acceptable. However, under no circumstances will a GPA below 3.50 be accepted in any of the SSC/ equivalent or HSC/ equivalent examinations of a tribal candidate.
03. The minimum GPA in Biology in HSC/ equivalent examination for all should be 3.50
04. Students who have passed SSC/ equivalent examination before 2018 will not be considered eligible to apply.
05Physical fitness:
A. The AFMC AMC Cadet Category Candidate must have completed the following physical fitness:
(i) Height (Minimum): Male- 1.63 m (5 ft 4 inches) Female- 1.57 m (5 ft 2 inches)
(ii) Weight * (Minimum): Male - 45.45 kg (100 lb) Female - 40.90 kg (90 lb)
* Excess weight of the scale prescribed for the Armed Forces according to height and age will be considered ineligible
(iii) Breast Size (Minimum): Male- Normal- 0.76 m (30 inches) Female- Normal- 0.71 m (28 inches)
Expanded- 0.81 m (32 inches) Expanded- 0.76 cm (30 inches)
(ix) Eyesight: Eyesight and farsightedness of each eye is more than 2.5 diopters and
Visual acuity greater than 1.0 diopters will not be acceptable. * Color Blindness will not be accepted.
(x) Hearing must be within acceptable limits.
B. Cadets from AFMC's AFMC Cadet category and five Army Medical College cadets must be eligible for a health examination by the Medical Board.
06. Candidates will be assessed on the basis of GPA of SSC/ Equivalent and HSC/ Equivalent and the marks obtained in the admission test as under:
* 15 times GPA obtained in SSC/ equivalent examination= 75 marks (maximum)
* 25 times GPA obtained in HSC/ equivalent examination= 125 marks (maximum)
* Written test in MCQ method= 100 marks
Total number = 300
07. Written Test (MCQ Method) - 100 marks. Subject-wise number segmentation:
Physics- 30, 
Chemistry- 30, 
Biology- 30, 
English- 05, 
General Knowledge (History and Culture of Bangladesh)- 05 
**(Syllabus: HSC/ Equivalent).
08. For each wrong answer in the written test 0.25 marks will be deducted and in the written test a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 marks will have to be obtained. Candidates who get less than 80 marks in the written test will be considered as unsuccessful. Note that only successful candidates will be included in the merit list.
09. 05 (five) marks will be deducted from the aggregated marks of the candidates who have passed the MBBS/ BDS admission test in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the case of students admitted in Government Medical or Dental College Dental Unit in the academic year 2020-2021, 07.5 (seven point five) marks will be deducted and will be included in merit order.
10. Online application starts: 03-03-2022, Thursday (10:00 am).
11. Last time to apply online: 12-03-2022, Saturday (16:00 pm).
12. Last date for submission of online application fee: 14-03-2022, (16:00 pm)
13. Distribution of Admit Card (Download): 01-04-2022, from Friday 07-04-2022 to Thursday.
14. Admission test: 08-04-2022 (Friday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am).
15. No applicant can re-apply or change the category of application (from AMC to AFMC Cadet or from AFMC to AMC Cadet) or change the information or change the center after depositing the money. *Only (User ID & Password) can be used to change the order of college choice.
16. When filling the online application form, you have to read the instructions (www.afmc.edu.bd) properly and fill them carefully as per the instructions. 1000/- (One Thousand) Taka of Examination Fee should be submitted only through Teletalk (Prepaid) (Non-refundable).
17. All the information regarding admission (Prospectus, FAQ & Admission Advertisement) can be found at (Prospectus, FAQ & Admission Advertisement) / http://afmc.teletalk.com.bd and the web address of this college (www.afmc.edu.bd). Emergency related admissions can be contacted by e-mail (afmc.amc,admission@gmail,com) and mobile number 01769016808 during office hours (09:00 to 14:00).
18. Bangladeshi citizen candidates who have passed (O-Level & A-Level) in foreign education have to collect  Equivalence Certificate & Code from Directorate General of Medical Education, Mohakhali, Dhaka, according to the rules.
19. Application processing, monitoring and finalization will be done through automated software.
20. If the information given by the selected candidates is incomplete or proved to be incorrect, his / her admission will be considered as canceled.
21. The decision of the "Admission Test Committee" on any matter relating to admission shall be final.
