We Are Hiring: Director- Process & Technology
Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. (part of the European Perfetti Van Melle Group), manufacturer of sugar confectionery and snacks, seeks applications for the position of 'Director- Process & Technology', who will lead the P&T function in Bangladesh in tine with global policies and practices of the Perfetti Van Melle Group.
Role Summary:
The “Director- Process & Technology” is responsible for leading efforts involved in new product/process development and improvements as well as RM, PM, and process cost reduction initiatives. This position initiates, evaluate plans, directs, executes, implements, and reports on activities related to the development of new products, improvements or cost savings ideas. This position carries with it the responsibility to mentor team members from other technical functions and grow their capabilities for contributing to the organization while coordinating and managing the efforts of the Group RED team.
Educational Qualifications:
*Should have graduation in Chemistry and Biochemistry
*Additional Degree/ Certificate in Food Technology would be given preference
Experience Requirement:
Relevant experience of working in overseas in R&D and Quality Assurance functions at senior management level.
Additional Job Requirements:
*Must have an extensive ingredient and flavor applications experience for confectionery products
*Strong experience of internationally accepted quality and food safety management system implementation (ISO, FSSC) will be an advantage
*Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*Must have knowledge in food chemistry and statistical analysis as used in designing experiments and measuring process capabilities
*Applicant must be creative, pro-active, have the ability to “think outside the box” and accept or create new ideas and take calculated risks on new products and process development
