Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCB) invites application for the post of Managing Director from professionals having leadership quality and interested to serve the company and ready to accept the challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Managing Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company responsible to the Board of Directors as per provisions of the Articles of Association of EGCB Ltd. The position shall be responsible for overall administration, finance, technical matters, corporate planning and business development of EGCB Ltd. Other important tasks are to co-ordinate activities regarding operational and functional systems of the organization, liaise with national and international financial institutions/ entities and development partners for sourcing, sanction and mobilization of fund for power plant/ development projects, negotiate with stakeholders etc.
Educational Qualifications:
(a) At least graduate in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil Engineering or Masters in Finance/ Business Administration/ Management from any recognized university.
(b) No third Division/ Class at any stage of the academic career shall be acceptable. Candidates passed in the grading system must possess at least a CGPA 3.0 on a scale of 5.0 and a CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. Candidates passed in the conventional system (class/ division) must possess at least 2nd class/ division.
Experiences:
(a) At least 25 (twenty five) years of working experience of which at least 5 (five) years working experience in senior management position.
(b) At least 5 (five) years working experience in power generation/ transmission/ distribution utilities;
(c) Must be able to demonstrate knowledge about relevant Govt. rules & regulations, company law, labor law, Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Preventive maintenance and Corporate Governance etc.
(d) Must demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability and possess adequate knowledge in corporate Management;
(e) Candidate serving below the post of Additional Chief Engineer or equivalent need not apply.
Age limit:
Not exceeding 60 years on the last date of submission of application;
Compensation package:
(a) Monthly basic pay in the scale of Tk. 1,75,000/-. Annual increment as per provision of the company;
(b) House rent allowance, Medical support, Full-time transport with driver, Group Insurance, other allowances and Fringe Benefits as per Company's Rules/ Policy/ Provisions.
Terms and Conditions:
(a) The Managing Director will be appointed on contractual basis initially for a period of one year which is renewable as per service rules of EGCB Ltd. based on satisfactory performances subject to approval of the Board of Directors of EGCB Ltd.
(b) Persons serving in Government, semi-government or autonomous organization should apply through proper channel;
(c) Candidates should apply with complete BIO-DATA, should attached 3 copies of passport size photograph, attested copies of all educational certificates, professional experience certificates and national ID;
(d) Age limit, Terms and Conditions may be relaxed for the experienced and extraordinary candidates in relevant field;
