Director - Finance, IT, Legal and Company Affairs.
Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. (part of the European Perfetti Van Melle Group) Manufacturer of sugar confectionery, seeks applications for the position of “Director - Finance, IT, Legal and Company Affairs.”
Role Summary:
The "Director - Finance, IT, Legal and Company Affairs" is responsible to oversee all financial aspects, legal matters, company affairs as well as IT functions of business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. S/He will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.
Major responsibilities:
**Actively contribute the formulation and effective implementation of business strategies and their translation into observable financial results
and tangible value creation.
**Business partnering the MD and the functional leadership team in business performance management and evaluation
**Establish, administrate and direct the accounting and repotting function including the formulation of local accounting policies, application of group and international financial policies, development of accounting and information systems and preparation of all financial data and reports as required. Solely responsible for integrity of data reported to Group including valuation of assets and liabilities.
**Direct the preparation of statutory accounts and other legally required reports. Monitor management and statutory results in order to ensure that commercial and legal obligations as well as internal objectives are met.
**Maintain adequate sources of financing to ensure the availability of capital required by the business and optimize costs. This function
includes establishing and maintaining contacts with Bangladesh Bank and local banks in co-operation with Corporate Treasury.
**Assist the business to develop the annual budget and long term strategy plans and ensure that these are aligned to Group policies and
practices. Monitor results to ensure that the budget /plan objectives are met and take corrective action as required.
**Optimize and ensure compliance on all direct and indirect tax matters of company. **Ensure corporate prudence and compliance in all legal and company matters with BOI, RJSC, BSTI and other regulatory authorities.
**Incorporate best practices in the areas of Finance and IT from external sources and group companies to help upgrade the skills and
competencies (for both people and processes).
**Manage business risks to ensure the safety and security of corporate assets and ensure that processes are in place for business continuity and disaster recovery.
**Direct the local IT processes of the company in close liaison with the Regional Application Centre and ensure compliance with Group IT policies
**Govern all trust managed employee funds including annual audit and investment of funds as per local laws and trust rules.
**Business partnering with company's Compliance Committee to ensure to conduct and disseminate about group Code of Conduct and ensure comply.
Educational Qualifications:
**Must have at least a CA/ B.Com
Experience Requirement:
**15-18 years' experience in managing company Accounts/ Finance in a reputed Organization preferably an MNC.
Additional Requirement:
*thorough knowledge of Finance, Accounting. Company Affairs, Supply Chain Management, IT pertaining to FMCG sector.
*Ability to lead in an unstructured environment and in case of unpredictable events. Visualize future trends and requirements
