The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka is currently inviting applicants
for the following position:
The Aga Khan Academies is an integrated network of residential schools in Africa, South and Central Asia and the Middle East, dedicated to expanding access to education of an international standard of excellence to exceptional young men and women, regardless of their ability to pay. The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka is the fourth school in a global network of day and residential schools. It aims to develop meritorious young men and women into homegrown ethical leaders, offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum from Primary years to the Diploma and provides a rich opportunity for both teachers and students to grow professionally and personally.
INTERIM HEAD OF ACADEMY (DHAKA)
Nature: Full-time role
Contract period: One year
Job location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
The Head of Academy for the Aga Khan Academy in Dhaka will be the Chief Executive of the school, responsible for the realisation of His Highness the Aga Khan's vision. S/he will be tasked with championing the Academy, engaging actively in all aspects of its life, and inspiring and delivering the next phase of its development.
Required Attributes:
Ability to adapt to a diverse and pluralistic environment; open-minded and curious with the ability to inspire others to push boundaries; high levels of emotional intelligence; collaborative mind-set; and cultural awareness will be essential.
Experience:
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in managing international school with International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.
• Experience in managing residential programs.
• Outstanding achievement in terms of student enrollment, sustainability development, stakeholder management, and establishing collaborative relationships with other schools.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully starting up and establishing an excellent quality IB school.
• Previous experience working in any of the Aga Khan Academies in similar roles will be an added advantage.
• Experience in managing residential programs.
