UNIVERSITY OF DHAKA: Applications in prescribed form, obtainable on working days at the office of the Registrar, University of Dhaka, are invited from Bangladeshi nationals for the following post on regular salary scale and payable and other allowances as per rules and procedures.
Position & No. of Vacancies:
Assistant Professor (Permanent post) in Arabic/Chinese/ French/Korean Language: 1
National Pay Scale 2015: Taka 35,500 - 67,010/- plus allowances as admissible under the University rules.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have first class or in case of CGPA, 3.50 out of 4.00 both in Honours and in Master's degree in Arabic/Chinese/French/Korean Language or an equivalent degree on the respective language from a recognized university with minimum first division or GPA/CGPA 4.25 out of and H.S.C. or equivalent Examinations. They must have at least 3 (three) years of teaching experience in a university and 03 (three) research publications in standard journals. Publication in the predatory journal will not be acceptable.
**Experience and performance as a teacher as well as significant contribution to different areas of university activities, especially in guiding the overall educational and co-curricular activities of the student, will also be treated as an additional qualification. Other qualifications being equal, preference may be given to those who have an M.Phil/PhD degree. One of the approved conditions of S.S.C. or H.S.C. examination may be relaxed to those who obtained first position/achieved highest CGPA in Honours or Master's degree. Candidates applied for the Assistant Professor post earlier need not apply again.
**Eight copies of application together with attested copies of certificates, testimonials and mark sheets along with a Pay Order/Bank Draft of the value of Taka 750/- (seven hundred fifty) (non-refundable) payable to the Registrar, University of Dhaka should be submitted to the Director, Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka on or before 29 November 2022 Candidates already in service must apply through proper channel.
