*Dhaka University DU will fill its following vacant posts urgently.

Applications are being invited from qualified genuine Bangladeshi nationals candidates for appointment to the following posts on regular salary scale and payable and other allowances as per rules and procedures.

UNIVERSITY OF DHAKA: 

Applications in prescribed form, obtainable from the Office of the Registrar, are invited from the Bangladeshi nationals for filling up 1 (One) permanent posts of Assistant Professor and 2 (Two) temporary lecturer against 2 (Two) vacancy of permanent posts of lecturer in the Institute of Statistical Research and Training.

Pay scale: 

Taka. 35,500-67,010/- for Assistant Professor and Taka. 22,000-53,060/- for Lecturer (National Pay Scale -2015).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: 

Candidates must have first class or in case of GPA/CGPA with minimum of 3.50 in a scale of 4.00 in Honours and Masters degrees in Applied Statistics with minimum first division or in case of GPA at least 4.25 in a scale of 5.00 in S.S.C. and H.S.C Examinations. They should have at least 3 (three) years of teaching and research experience in a University with 03 (three) research publications in standard journals. Publication in the predatory journal will not be accepted. Experience and performance as a teacher as well as significant contribution to different areas of University activities especially in guiding the overall educational and co-curricular activities of the students will also be treated as special qualifications. Other qualifications being equal, preference may be given to those who have earned a Ph.D degree. QUALIFICATIONS FOR 

LECTURER: 

Candidates must have first class or in case of GPA/CGPA with minimum of 3.50 in a scale of 4.00 in Honours and Masters degrees in Applied Statistics and at least 4.25 in a scale of 5.00 in S.S.C. and H.S.C Examinations. Other qualifications being equal preference may be given to those who have higher degrees.

**For appointment to the post of Assistant Professor and Lecturer, candidates who have achieved first Class first position/highest CGPA in Honors or Masters Examinations, the condition of S.S.C./H.S.C. GPA may be relaxed.

**Eight copies of application together with attested copies of certificates, testimonials, mark-sheets and proof of experience along with a Pay-Order/Bank Draft of the value of Tk. 750/- (Seven hundred fifty) only, payable to the Registrar, Dhaka University should reach the Director, Institute of Statistical Research and Training on or before 10.05.2023. Candidates already serving government, semi-government or autonomous organization must apply through proper channel.
