Selection Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Medically fit to perform the required duties;
  2. Enjoys civil rights and permits for employment under local law;
  3. Fluency in both Bangla and English writing and oral skills.
  4. Higher Secondary School Certificate- HSC (12th Class) equivalent to "A" level
  5. At least 3 years of professional work experience in secretarial services. Previous working experience with International Organisations and/or Embassies, Multilateral donors etc. will be an asset.
  6. Self-starter, motivated, ability to work alone and/or in a team, respecting deadlines, ability to deal with stressful situations, etc.
  7. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Functions and Duties:
Under the supervision of the Head of Cooperation and relevant Team Leader, provide administrative support and secretarial assistance to the Governance Section in particular and to the coordination of the activities of the Cooperation Unit of the Delegation in general, notably with the follow-up of internal administrative procedures, horizontal portfolio information, communication actions, information and document management, organisation of meetings, personnel administration and logistic needs
Note:
Ability to work in a multicultural environment with standard working hours (37.5 hours/week). This is a Group 4 position, based in Dhaka. EU offers an attractive salary (Basic per month: BDT. 57,381 – 124,837).

The procedure
After the deadline for applications, the applications will be reviewed by a Selection Committee set up for this purpose. The Selection Committee will prepare a short-list of candidates who are considered to be the most suitable for the post on the basis of a preliminary assessment of the information provided in their application letter and the supporting documents. The short-listed candidates will be invited to an assessment phase which may include an interview if necessary – during this phase, the Selection Committee will assess the suitability of the candidates for the post.
The candidates who have not been short-listed will not be contacted individually; however, the Delegation will use the same means of publication as for this Vacancy Notice to inform the remaining candidates once the recruitment procedure has been completed and that a candidate has (or has not) been recruited.
