Research Proposal
Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) is a government sponsored non-profit organization. It is a grant making body and provides technical and financial support to priority agricultural research and development (R & D) in public sectors, including NARS Institutions and Universities. The public sectors might consider the NGOs as well as private organizations as the collaborator under their active supervision as they deem fit. CGP funds will be awarded for location-specific, medium term, problem-solving research. The program also supports strategic and innovative research projects seeking innovation of new knowledge and technology for improving agricultural production. Such support will be normally for a period of three (3) years (36 months). This year, research proposals should target all unique agro-ecological challenges of Bangladesh.
KGF is inviting Full Research Project Proposals (FRPP) in prescribed format. The list of CGP priority researchable areas/issues under different thematic areas for research in prescribed format and guidelines for preparation and submission of the proposal are available at KGF website: www.kgf.org.bd. One Principal Investigator (PI)/Coordinator is eligible to submit only one proposal in his/her relevant field of expertise. The PI/Coordinator should normally be available for the entire period of the project implementation. No grants will be made to an individual having no institutional affiliation. Project proposals received by KGF will be screened, peer reviewed and evaluated as per the guidelines for CGP research.
Deadline for submission of the completed project proposal in prescribed format is 30.08.2026, 5:00 p.m. Quality research with modest budget will be encouraged. Similar project submitted for funding to other donors/organizations will be rejected. KGF authority reserves every right to approve/reject any proposed project. For conventional system of submission, the application containing 2 (two) hard copies and soft copy (MS Word) in Pen drive of the proposal must be put in a sealed envelope and sent to the Executive Director, Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF), AIC Building (6th floor), BARC Campus, Farmgate, Dhaka-1215. KGF thematic areas for researchable issues and title of the research proposal with the name and address of the PI/Coordinator and proponent organization should be clearly written on the Envelope.
